The Grand Palace

Situated within the walls are the Royal residences, the Royal Chapel of the Emerald Buddha and Government offices. Chinatown is a captivating sprawl of narrow alleyways, temples and markets, and is particularly known for its nostalgic colonial-style architecture. Phahurat Market is known as the Little India in Bangkok and is the largest Sikh community in Bangkok. It is located right next to Chinatown. Named after a daughter of King Rama V, the area is regarded as one of Bangkok’s largest textile market.
