The Grand Palace
One of Bangkok’s major tourist attractions, The Grand Palace was built in 1782 and occupies 218,400 square metres, surrounded by walls totaling a length of 1,900 metres. Situated within the walls are the Royal residences, the Royal Chapel of the Emerald Buddha and Government offices. The Grand Palace served as a significant royal residence until 1925 and is now used for ceremonial purposes only.

Wat Arun – the Temple of Dawn
Visiting this remarkable and highly recognisable site at sunset or sunrise is a truly awe-inspiring experience. The Temple is a classic Prang structure of Ayutthaya style, built as a representation of Mount Meru, home of the Khmer gods. It is a favourite amongst Bangkok’s many temples.

Chinatown and Phahurat Market
Chinatown is a captivating sprawl of narrow alleyways, temples and markets, and is particularly known for its nostalgic colonial-style architecture. Phahurat Market is known as the Little India in Bangkok and is the largest Sikh community in Bangkok. It is located right next to Chinatown. Named after a daughter of King Rama V, the area is regarded as one of Bangkok’s largest textile market.
